This economy is really hurting my dads company. . .badly! I am trusting the Lord for no matter what happens, I'm not going to go into panick mode or anything, but it is truly scary whether or not  I'm going to get a paycheck or not these days.  I almost feel like writing to Congress and ask them for a bail out! LOL!! But we're not a big, corrupt company.

So I don't know what to do, but I do know that our Lord is still my Lord and I will continue to place my trust on and in Him during these times.

Another thing, we did a project for the City of Phoenix, for their low income housing project agency.  We built a house for them, it was not completed, but there was some conflict going on between my dad and the neighborhood housing services, due to a new project manager. Anyway, we had completed a certain amount of the work, but because of the conflict, they did not pay us.  We are owed over 60,000.00 and they said they would not pay until certain things were resolved, such as drawings showing certain layouts for plumbing and carpentry work we did.  I guess some changes were needed and even though there was a verbal agreement with the PM and my dad, we did not provide them with the drawings.  Plus some other things.  Well we gave them everything they requested and they still are stalling to pay us.  One thing they did because of all this was remove us from the job and hired another Contractor to finish it and then after this Contractor finishes the house, they said they would pay us.

So now it's been about 8 months and we're still waiting.   My dad had to hire an attorney to try and get the money, but things are moving slow.  My dad is an impatient person, but there is no way I can talk to him and tell him that.  He wants things done fast and quick, but it don't work out that way.  He say's the attorney won't listen to him and what he has to say.  But I hear both sides, and what my dad is trying to tell him has no bearing on the case.  I don't know, it's very hard right now, my dad is wanting to file Chapt 11.  We owe alot, but it all could have been paid if we had been paid by this city agency.

I'm believing that God can open the hearts of these people at the City to pay us.  I also think that the consequences of past dealings that my dad has done are catching up with him because of how he handled things.

I don't know!?!  If it's something we have to go through, then we/I will go through this with a joyful heart because at least I know where I stand in Him!!!

Thanks for letting me vent!!

Love you all,
Diana

Hey Diana,

I stand with you in your present situation, dear lady, as do all your fellow believers here. The economy is affecting everyone, and its gonna get pretty scary out there.

I think you have a pretty good handle on what the dynamics are with your Dads company. Although a prompt payment from those who owe you would be the ideal solution, keep in mind that God is using this for perhaps a way to reach your father with what he really needs. I know that the paycheck situation is a real one to you as well, and I'm certainly not minimizing the fact that you might be without a job as well. YOU know that God promises to work all things for good to those  who are called according to His purpose, and that is what YOU can stand on.

Venting with those who love you is a GOOD thing as well. Thats what we are here for. Look at this as an opportunity to show your dad your unwavering trust in your Heavenly Fathers love and care for you.

You know you can always give me a call. Im huggin on ya real tight, girl...keep us posted on the developments here, OK?

Thanks Christine,
I'm off tomorrow so I'll give you a jingle then.

I agree with what you said about God using this situation for my dad.  In fact I have always thought that too, and even for me as well.
I'm not going to fret about it, I know that God will work this out!!

Thanks Dear Friend!!  I feel that hug too!!!  Kiss  Hugs back!!!

Hey Dianaa...... I'm praying for you, sister! I know all too well what you are saying! I am also in business. My partners have bailed out, and left me in the boat alone. At least they think they left me alone....... NOT! I rely on the Lord to meet my needs, and it seems that He just keeps on coming through, many times when it seems that I will be looking for something else to do!
On the business side, ALWAYS have signed Change-Orders, ANYTIME something has to be changed! A GOOD reason, besides the obvious problems you are all facing now, is that in construction, Change Orders are also called Ch-Ching! Orders......it's gonna COST you to change things! Only by written agreement will I ever deviate from a plan, and it ALWAYS comes at an additional cost, over and above the original plan!

I have faith for you! God meets the needs of those that love Him, and seek Him! Just keep believing, because He knows what we don't see up the road!

Prayers and love to you and yours!

Hey Darryl,
Thanks brother!

It's so funny because when project managers or rehab specialist tell you to change something out, it's like they want you to do it right on the spot and we always give change orders.  But this one time, we sent one in late and this city agency took that as,  we did not want to submit it.

I'm not looking for money to fall out of the sky, lol, but for some good job leads!  My dad is such a go getter!  If there was anything I could say about my dad, God gave him a gift of being a good provider.  He is always trying to bid for work . .anything he can get he will take.  He definately is not slack about trying to get work.
He is good about paying people, because I pay the bills, lol.

Okay, well I'm writing another novel here so I better go and do something.

Thanks again Darryl and Christine, I truly cherish you both as my brother and sister in Christ!!

Love ya's!!
