The two most distinct dispensations are not OT and NT, but PROPHECY and MYSTERY.

All the books written To and About the Nation Israel are PROPHETIC. This includes Exodus thru Acts and Hebrews thru Revelation.

The books containing the MYSTERY revealed, which is the program God is currently IN TODAY , are found in Romans thru Philemon.

Are YOU aware of the "preaching of Jesus Christ ACCORDING TO THE REVELATION Of the MYSTERY...?"  Rom. 16:25

If not, why not. It will be these mystery truths that we will be judged by....if you want to know what they are...STUDY, or look at the posts here in this website for that information.

Excellent chart and explanation!  I am printing this chart for my mother.  She is so confused by what I believe.  As she is older and has been involved in a Southern Baptist Church for a lifetime, it is difficult for her to "see" it.  To me, it is so obvious and makes the Bible "come alive" if you will.
I especially love the first line "It's not the OT and NT; it's Prophecy and Mystery".

So glad that you found something you can use....we will be praying for your Mom. It is so difficult to break old habits...and religion has a hold on many today.

Yes, those little pieces of paper that separate Old Testament from New Testament weren't put there by divine inspiration, and have caused much misunderstanding in how God was dealing with Israel and when the program changed. The real division is Prophecy vs Mystery...

Gen. thru Acts = God dealing with the NATION of Israel/TIMES PAST/Prophecy/Peter and the 12

Romans thru Philemon= God dealing with a BODY (a new CREATION) /BUT NOW/Mystery/Paul OUR apostle

Hebrews thru Revelation= God resuming His program with Israel right where they left off/AGES TO COME/ Prophetic Clock resumes ticking/12 apostles and the law of Moses once again.

The majority of OUR bible was written TO and ABOUT the NATION OF ISRAEL AND HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH US AT ALL! We can certainly learn from it, but THEIR truth  is NOT for OUR obedience in this age of GRACE.

"Christ is the end of the law unto righteousness to ALL who BELIEVE!" Something CHANGED!

Aren't you glad we aren't under the law today??? OY VEY!!!
